The Atlanta Arts Festival is a multi-day, outdoor festival with an emphasis on the visual arts. Set in historic Piedmont Park, this festival fills the fall time art festival void in the City of Atlanta. Bringing together outstanding artists from all over the country with the large and enthusiastic art buying community of the Atlanta area, the Festival will feature 200 of the country's finest painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metal craftsmen, glass blowers and more! The Festival will also offer visitors the opportunity to view artist demonstrations, enjoy live entertainment, participate in hands on arts activities, and enjoy festival foods and beverages.

Where:

The Atlanta Arts Festival will take place in Piedmont Park, Atlanta GA. The Festival will be located on the west side of the park, running from the 12th Street and 14th Street entrances in toward the Bath House.

Admission:

Admission is free for the Artist Market. The Festival will be hosting a ticketed Preview Party on Friday night.

Alcohol:

Per city ordinance, no alcohol may be brought into the Festival area. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at several locations throughout the festival area. Revenue from on-site beverage sales allows the Festival to remain an admission free event. Regulations require that alcoholic beverages purchased at the Festival remain on-site. The Atlanta Police Department will ask you to dispose of any alcoholic beverages before you exit or enter.

Artists:

200 artists, in 12 categories, will be selected to participate in the Festival. These artists were selected by a professional jury panel based on the merits of their artwork.

ATM:

There will be an ATM machine on-site at the Festival.

Beverages:

The Festival will be selling soft drinks, lemonade, ice tea, water, beer and wine at several locations throughout the festival area. Per city ordinance, no alcohol may be brought into the festival area. No glass bottles may be brought into the festival area. Revenue from on-site beverage sales allows the Festival to remain an admission free event.


Credit Cards / Payment Terms:

Payment terms are determined by each Artist. As a practical matter, most artists do accept Visa, MasterCard and Amex, in addition to cash. The Festival beverage booths and the Festival Food vendors accept cash only. The Festival Merchandise Store accepts personal checks and cash. An ATM is available on-site for your convenience.

Entertainment:

The Festival will have one stage of live entertainment, as well as several smaller entertainment areas.

First Aid:

First aid service is available on-site at the festival. Qualified attendants can assist you or refer you elsewhere as necessary. Emergency transportation service is available on-site.

Food:

The Festival will offer a variety of festival foods on-site. Some of the foods available will be: ice cream, roasted nuts, pizza, BBQ, gyros, corn dogs, hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, and funnel cakes.

Lost and Found:

Lost Children Inquiries:

Contact the HQ tent, any Festival staff member, or any Festival security personnel (APD) for assistance in locating lost members of your party.

Merchandise:

Official Festival Merchandise will be available for sale on-site at the festival. The Festival Merchandise store will accept personal checks and cash only; no credit cards.

Parking:

There is NO parking available in the Midtown neighborhoods surrounding the park! The Atlanta Police Department will be strictly enforcing all no parking zones. Please utilize Marta or one of the parking decks (within walking distance) that we have partnered with. Handicapped parking is available on-site, on a first come first served basis, at the Park Drive parking lot and the Community Center parking lot. You must present your Government issued decal for admittance into the lots. Visit the Directions page for more details.

Pets:

Per city ordinance, no pets are allowed in the Festival area, except for service animals. However, pet sitting arrangement can be made with Piedmont Bark if necessary. Contact Piedmont Bark at 404-873-5400 or via the web at www.piedmontbark.com.

 


Rain / Weather

The Festival is a rain or shine event. Certain events, such as live entertainment or artist demonstrations, may be temporarily suspended depending on the intensity of the rain. If the weather does pose a safety risk to Festival patrons and participants, the Festival will close and information will be announced as to nature of the risk, exit instructions, and possible re-opening times.

Restrooms:

Portable facilities, including ADA accessible, are located throughout the Festival area. View the Festival Map for exact locations.

Rules:
  • No alcohol will be allowed to be brought into the Festival area

  • Alcoholic beverages purchased on-site must remain on-site. Festival security will ask you to dispose of any alcoholic beverage before you exit

  • No coolers

  • No glass bottles

  • No pets - except for service animals

  • No bicycles, skate boards, roller blades, roller skates, scooters, or motorized vehicles of any kind are allowed in the Festival area

  • No grills or grilling will be allowed in the Festival area

  • No tents

  • No staking of any kind

  • No weapons of any kind

  • No illegal substances

  • All bags are subject to search by Festival security

  • The Festival reserves the right to decline admittance to anyone who violates the reasonable policies established for public safety
